RESUMÉ
Education
I graduated Forsyth Central High School (GPA 3.7)
I now attend the University of North Georgia and just finished my Associates degree in Health Sciences with a GPA of 3.64.
In spring 2021 I will be starting nursing school.
Experience
Summer of 2019 I was given the opportunity to intern/shadow Dr. Long Le at his internal medicine practice. He showed me correct bedside manner and would lecture me on different relevant topics such as diabetes and high blood pressure. He taught me that he first liked to try to heal the patient with healthy food and exercise, if that did not work then medicine was the second option. I would also greet the patients at the front desk, answer phone calls, file paperwork, and call back patients with instructions from Dr.Le. I learned a wide variety of helpful knowledge that I will take with me through life.
For 2 years I have been babysitting a special needs boy. He was 8 when I started and is now 10. I change his diaper, prepare his food, feed him, and play with him! I have also been helping his physical therapists over zoom to work on his motor skills since he cannot go to his appointments due to CO-VID19 .
Volunteering
I volunteered with the non profit Northern Star Located in Dahlonega, Georgia. Northern Star helps young adults aged 17-21 save money, earn degrees, and excel in adult life by providing housing and guidance from the women who run the non profit.
